Cenk Kamis, Managing Director - Chief Risk Officer for Finance, Citi

Cenk Kamis is Chief Risk Officer for Finance division at Citi and a member of the company’s Risk Management Executive Council. Cenk’s team provides risk management oversight of the Finance function, including effective risk challenge and mitigation of risk for capital, liquidity, interest rate risk and treasury investments, and ensures compliance with all risk-related regulatory requirements. In addition, Cenk’s team oversees the key risk management methodologies and calculations, including CECL and IFRS9 for credit reserves, and Basel Advanced RWA.

Prior to joining Citi in September 2022, Cenk spent 20 years of his career at Bank of America where he held a number of senior roles throughout the finance division and was most recently Enterprise Capital Management Executive in which he was responsible for capital management for Bank of America Corporation. Prior to his role in finance, Cenk held a number of positions within Bank of America’s Global Markets Sales and Trading division, where he specialized in trading fixed income products. Cenk holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Bogazici University, Istanbul Turkey and a Masters of Science in Finance degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Illinois. Cenk is currently based in New York.

 

Wayne Buchan, Chief Risk Officer, Cantor Fitzgerald L.P. and BGC Partners, Inc.

Wayne Buchan has been Chief Risk Officer of Cantor Fitzgerald L.P and BGC Partners, Inc. since joining the organization in 2008.  He is responsible for managing credit, market and operational risk for capital markets businesses globally, as well as credit underwriting for related real estate businesses. Prior to Cantor/BGC, he was employed at Bear Stearns & Co. for 17 years in progressively senior roles in risk management.  He is a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology and holder of the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

 

Deborah Hrvatin, Chief Risk Officer, CLS Group

Deborah joined CLS in 2019 as Chief Risk Officer, overseeing the risk function globally. As a specialist in risk management and strengthening controls, she is responsible for CLS’s enterprise risk management framework and for building an enhanced culture of risk identification, challenge and mitigation. Deborah is also responsible for enhancing CLS’s risk dialog across our ecosystem, with the objective of further improving systemic risk awareness and mitigation. She also leads CLS’s commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) best practice, establishing a firm wide ESG strategy and framework to build a sustainable business that contributes to the long term goals of society.

Deborah has over 30 years of experience within the financial services industry. She joined CLS from Citigroup, where she was Global Head of Operational Risk Management for the Institutional Clients Group. Prior to joining Citigroup in 2017, Deborah spent 22 years with Deutsche Bank, where she held several leadership roles including Head of Operational Risk for the Americas region and the Global Corporate Finance division and Chief Operating Officer for the Global Securitization Group. Deborah began her career in financial services as a commissioned bank examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Deborah received her BBA and MBA in International Finance from Hofstra University.

 

 

Eric Yoss, Chief Risk Officer, Corporate & Investment Banking, Wells Fargo & Company

Eric Yoss is Wells Fargo’s Corporate & Investment Banking chief risk officer and reports to Wells Fargo’s chief risk officer. In this role, Eric serves on Wells Fargo’s Management Committee and is responsible for the independent risk management function overseeing the front-line risk management of the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business. 

He is also responsible for enhancing the effectiveness of risk oversight and creating streamlined independent risk management interaction with CIB and a comprehensive view of risks across the business group. CIB provides corporate and transactional banking, commercial real estate lending and servicing, investment banking, equity, and fixed income solutions to clients across the globe.  

Bringing more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Eric joined Wells Fargo in February 2021 from Mizuho where he was Chief Risk Officer for the Americas, overseeing their independent risk management division across the region and developing their regional risk appetite. Prior to that role, he was Managing Director, Head of Risk for the Americas for Barclays. He also held several financial risk management leadership positions at Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan.

Eric earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering at the University of Virginia. He is based in New York City.

Alejandro Johnston, Principal, Bank Treasury Advisory Leader in the US, PwC

Alejandro is currently based in New York and serves as PwC’s Bank Treasury Advisory leader in the US, where his focus is on advising banking clients on all aspects of balance sheet management, liability management, liquidity risk management, portfolio management, capital management, performance measurement, resolution planning and treasury operations. His clients include domestic and foreign GSIBs as well as many of the largest US banks. He is an energetic leader with over 20 years of industry and consulting experience helping the largest international banks tackle risk, capital and regulatory issues. Alejandro’s passion is to work with his clients to develop new and better ways for them to support their strategy by leveraging their balance sheet and optimizing the use of financial resources through analytics and technology. Alejandro is also very passionate about creating opportunities for his teams and helping them grow and develop. He is an advocate for diversity and inclusion and is involved in driving many D&I initiatives inside and outside PwC.
