Rachel Anderika, Chief Operating Officer, Anchorage Digital Bank

Rachel Anderika is the Chief Operating Officer at Anchorage Digital Bank. She brings more than 15 years of experience in regulatory and risk management and nearly a decade of professional experience at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, where she served as National Bank Examiner (and later, Large Bank Examiner) to ensure that national banks operated safely and soundly, while complying with applicable laws and regulations. Rachel then served eight years in the private sector at Promontory Financial Group, a premier bank regulatory consulting firm, later purchased by IBM where she worked with numerous traditional financial institutions on risk management and compliance. Rachel also helped found Promontory’s Digital Assets Risk and Compliance Team, where she guided digital assets custodians through the state and federal regulatory licensing process. Rachel is based in Connecticut and enjoys sailing her 99 year-old wooden boat in her spare time.

 


Miriam Bazan, Innovation Officer, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency

Miriam Bazan is an Innovation Officer with the OCC’s Office of Innovation, focusing primarily on crypto-assets as they relate to national bank activities. She has been with the OCC since 2004 and, prior to joining the Office of Innovation, served as a National Bank Examiner in community, midsize, and large bank supervision in the agency’s West and East Regions. 

 

Katey Neate, Business Chief Risk Officer, Securities Servicing and Digital, BNY Mellon

Katey Neate is the Business Chief Risk Officer for Securities Servicing and Digital, leading a global team of risk management professionals overseeing the risk profile of BNY Mellon’s largest business. In this role, Katey is responsible for providing independent oversight and challenge across a diverse range of products and risks, from Custody and Fund Servicing, to strategic investments and Advanced Digital Solutions. Katey also leads for Risk and Compliance on BNY Mellon’s Digital Assets initiatives, setting the strategic direction for the development of the risk framework for this emerging asset class, and building a market-leading Risk and Compliance Digital Assets team.

Since joining BNY Mellon in 2003, Katey has held a variety of positions across Operations, Product and Relationship Management, including a decade in Risk Management, covering multiple businesses and entities.

Katey holds an MBA from Manchester Business School and is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

 


Nazia Siddiqi, Head of Counterparty Credit Risk, Galaxy Digital

Nazia Siddiqi is the Head of Counterparty Credit Risk at Galaxy Digital. Prior to joining the firm, she was a Director of Hedge Fund Counterparty Risk at Credit Suisse and held senior positions at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America Merrill Lynch as well. She holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Economics and International Relations.

Mark Nichols, Principal, Capital Markets Consulting, Ernst & Young LLP

Mark Nichols is a Principal at EY and a leader in Capital Markets Consulting practice. Mark’s focus at EY is around the Digital Asset eco-system and broader growth and innovation across the capital markets. In this role Mark leads the work that EY does with Institutional clients in Digital Assets. This work spans traditional and digital native institutions on both the buy side and sell-side, as well as with Market Infrastructure players.

Mark has supported clients in the development of their Digital Asset Strategy across Crypto, Payments and Tokenization. He has supported clients through the operational readiness, risk assessments, the technology design and build, engagement with regulators and product launch support. Mark and the wider EY team also supports firms across the full lifecycle in the Digital Asset eco-system as they scale and mature the enterprise supporting firms with services across Consulting, Assurance, Strategy & Transactions, Finance and Tax.
